Bodega González

It's like the world's most famous pig and this diabolical ham are having a suicide-off!

His hand on his hip—a casually spiteful gesture—he slices and slices.

Slivers of his long-ago-living flesh slowly fill the platter, and his leer only becomes more and more unnerving. Just who is he avenging here? Who is the target of his rage and self-loathing? Is he giving himself what he imagines he deserves, or is it all about you? Is he trying to show you just how much you've hurt him?

We could never hope to tease apart the tangled threads of his dysfunctional motivation, but we do know it's been a good long while since we've seen a ham with this much raw, seething anger.

Don't tell me I'm the only one who sees that slicing his own flesh has literally "given" this dead pig's leg a boner.

Happily, yes. You are the only one.

Live self-slicing. Yikes!

Reminds me of a logo I saw when I was visiting Tanzania. There was this inn (Walter's inn or Walther's inn or something like that) with a huge logo painted on the outside wall. It depicted a happy smiling sausage, making slices of itself with a knife. And it was halfway through! Happy times, yay.

Unfortunately I can't seem to find a picture of that logo on the interwebs, it was over 10 years ago. Has to be quite memorable for me to remember such a detail from the trip though, so I guess their advertisement worked well in a way. Maybe that's what they're trying to do here? Make a spooky disturbing impression at the kids and they remember the product forever? :p

(Thanks for the great site by the way, been reading it for quite some time now.)

Oh and since P.G. pointed it out, I now see it too. He has sliced a boner off himself. Oh dear.

That's just... oh dear.

Maybe I'm just dense, but how did you know that was a ham? It looks like a lumpy plantain.

Plantains don't wear shoes.
